Principal

Emily Barbee graduated from Pomona College in Claremont California, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology and a Minor in Spanish. She received her Master's Degree and Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from UCLA. She earned an Administrative Credential from CSU Dominguez Hills. In 2011 she became a National Board Certified Teacher. She has been an educator in LAUSD since 2005, and this is her fourth year as the proud principal at Annalee! #pantherpride

Magnet Coordinator

Pamela Pollard graduated from the University of Southern California (USC) with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication. She earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and her Master’s Degree in Education Curriculum from California State University Dominguez Hills (CSUDH). She has been in education since 1991.

Teacher, Kindergarten

Veronica Bard graduated from University of Nevada Las Vegas with a Bachelors Degree in Theatre Arts. She earned a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction along with her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from National University. She has been teaching since 1993, and part of the Annalee Family since 2017.

Teacher, First Grade 

Aurelia Huerta earned a Bachelor degree in History from the University of California, Davis in 1996, completed her Teaching Credential from LAUSD as a District Intern in 1998, became a National Board Certified Teacher in 2003, and received her Master's Degree in Education Administration & Administrative Credential from California State University, Los Angeles in 2008. A life-long learner, she earned a STEAM Micro-Credential in 2018. She has been in Education since 1996, teaching TK-6th, and proudly at Annalee Avenue ES since 2018.

Teacher, 2nd/3rd Grade Magnet

Molly Farragher graduated with her Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola Marymount University, Los Angeles and her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from Cal State University, Long Beach. She worked as a substitute teacher for Long Beach Unified School District from 2017-2020. This is her fifth year teaching at Annalee.

Teacher, 3rd Grade

Catherine James graduated from Cal State Dominguez Hills where she earned her Bachelor Degree in Liberal Studies and multiple subject teaching credential. She went on to earned her Master Degree in  Curriculum and Development from the same institution. Catherine James has been an educator at Annalee Elementary since September of 1999.

Teacher, 5th Grade Magnet

Sydnee Childress is a proud graduate of THEE Illustrious Historically Black College & University (HBCU), Clark Atlanta University in Atlanta, GA where she earned her Bachelors Degree. She then received her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential and Masters Degree from California State University, Dominguez Hills. She has worked with LAUSD since 2014.

Teacher, 2nd Grade

LaTonya Berry received her undergraduate degree in Speech Communication from California State University, Long Beach. She then went on to California State University, Dominguez Hills to receive a Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential, a Master’s Degree in Education w/ Multicultural Emphasis, a Preliminary Administrative Credential, and a second Master’s Degree with an emphasis on Educational School Leadership. She is also a National Board Certified teacher. She has been in education for over 20 years and has served at Annalee since 2011.

Henry Cervantes is a dedicated 4th grade teacher with over 15 years of classroom experience. He holds a Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from CSUD and a degree in Special Education from UCLA. He is passionate about student growth and is excited to be part of the Annalee Elementary School community.

Diana Cervantes graduated from CSUDH with Multiple Subject BA Degree. She received her credentials and Masters Degree in Education from the University of Phoenix. She has been teaching for a total of 15 years and 6 of those have been at Annalee STEAM.

BSAP Psychiatric Social Worker (PSW)

Aya Hackett graduated with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication and went on to earn her Master’s Degree in Social Work from the University of Southern California. As a Licensed Clinical Social Worker, she is passionate about promoting mental health, building connections, and supporting the well-being of the Annalee community.

BSAP Restorative Justice Teacher
Daisy Miranda graduated from Cal State University Long Beach, where she earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Psychology. She earned her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential from the University of Phoenix, her Master’s in Sociology from CSUDH, and her Administrative Credential from National University. She has been an educator with LAUSD since 2004, and this is her 3rd year at Annalee Elementary.

BSAP School Climate Advocate
Gail Smith School Climate Advocate attended Cal State Northridge and Chapman University. She previously worked in management and retired after 33 years of Service. After closing that book, she realized it was time to write a new one. Her career with LAUSD  began with BSAP, here at Annalee.  Ms. Smith looks for greatness in all the students; That’s why Annalee is the place to “BE” one of her goals for this school community was to aid it in becoming a California Distinguished School.  Goal achieved ✅… On to the next !!!

Teacher, Transitional Kindergarten (TK) Ms. Lisa Cottrell-Fulbright graduated With Honors from CSU Dominguez Hills, where she earned her Bachelor's Degree in Liberal Studies and Multiple Subjects Teaching Credential. She received her Masters Degree in  Computers/Technology in Education. She has been in education since 1978 with Inglewood Unified School District, and at Annalee since 1989.

Instructional Coach, Cultural Arts Passport Champion

Danielle Lewis graduated from California State University,  Long Beach with  BA degree in Liberal Studies with a Speech Communications concentration and teaching credential.  She received her MA in Education with a focus on Curriculum and Instruction from the same institution.  Ms. Lewis also attended California State University,  Dominguez Hills where she earned her Administrative Services credential.  Ms Lewis has been in education since 1996.
